In addition to performing Symphony No. 5 by Shostakovich, we will be playing a new piece, “Butterfly House,” for chamber orchestra by Arlene Sierra, current Composer in Association with the Utah Symphony. We are honored to be working with her and the Utah Symphony on this project, and hope you will invite your family, friends, and music teachers to attend! Arlene was gracious enough to visit our orchestras last fall, and will be joining us again for two weekends in April in preparation for this concert.
