Utah Youth Orchestras
& Ensembles (UYOE)

Since 1986, Music Director and Conductor Barbara Scowcroft's vision has been to educate and inspire young musicians through exceptional ensemble training and performance opportunities in classical music.

As Utah's first youth symphony, founded in 1957, Utah Youth Orchestras and Ensembles have nurtured thousands of talented musicians ages 12-21 with coaching and development by the area's finest professional conductors and musicians.


2017-2018 Season

The 2017-2018 season will continue with rehearsals starting on June 1st and 2nd for the Utah Arts Festival performance.

Our final concert of the season will be at the Utah Arts Festival on Thursday, June 21 at 8:00. This performance will feature both the UYPhil and the UYSO in several movements of Dvorak's Symphonies 6 and 7, as well as several new youth compositions from our Young Composers Project.

Schedule for the week of June 14th and 15th.

Rehearsals for the Utah Arts Festival will resume this weekend. Both rehearsals will be at their usual times and location; 4-6:30 Friday and 9-11:30 on Saturday, both in room 272 of Gardner Hall. The UYJSO is done for the season. Congratulations to everyone on a great concert.
