Our Mission

As Utah's first youth orchestra, founded in 1957, Utah Youth Orchestras and Ensembles have nurtured thousands of talented musicians ages 12-21 with coaching and development by the area's finest professional conductors and musicians. Since 1986, Music Director and Conductor Barbara Scowcroft's vision has been to educate and inspire young musicians through exceptional ensemble training and performance opportunities in classical music.

Seek Beauty

Gifted UYO&E musicians, professional conductors, and professional musician/coaches strive for beauty, integrity, and artistic excellence through musical expression and performance opportunities.
